Request the fee and settlement terms that apply to your Kinguin merchant relationship. This guide does not publish an unverified commission percentage or universal payout schedule. Use the accepted agreement and current merchant records for the calculation.

Create a cost register

Record every charge by type: selling commission, fixed transaction cost, optional services, conversion and payout charges where applicable. Identify the calculation base for each. A percentage applied to one amount is not interchangeable with the same percentage applied to another.

Keep source cost, marketplace costs and KeyMerchantHub account acquisition cost separate. They answer different questions: whether a sale is profitable, whether the operating relationship is economical and whether the upfront investment can be recovered.

Reconcile a real transaction

For a controlled pilot order, capture the order value, applicable charges, final seller credit and later payout reference. Explain any difference before increasing sales volume. Include refunds and adjustments rather than reconciling only successful orders.

If a statement groups several orders into one settlement, retain the mapping. Your bank entry confirms money received, but not the individual unit economics of every product in the batch.

A scenario exercise

Suppose a hypothetical EUR 30 sale has EUR 23 sourcing cost and EUR 3 combined marketplace and fulfillment costs. Contribution is EUR 4 before overhead and tax. If resolving a complaint costs EUR 8, two such contributions are consumed. These figures illustrate budgeting and are not Kinguin charges.

Use an incident allowance derived from your actual records when available. If you do not have records yet, show several scenarios rather than presenting an arbitrary estimate as a fact.

Payment questions to ask

  • What makes funds eligible for settlement?
  • Which payout details must match the verified business?
  • What limits, reserves or timing conditions apply to this account?
  • Which reference is needed to investigate a missing withdrawal?
  • How are refund-related adjustments reflected in statements?

Maintain enough cash to replenish stock without relying on an immediate payout from the latest sale. A conservative funding plan is useful even when the expected settlement process is fast.
