G2A connects buyers with digital product offers. Operating a seller account means managing a catalog, inventory, customer issues and settlement records; having a normal buying account does not by itself mean you have approved seller access.

From product to offer

Treat the catalog product and your offer as separate records. The catalog identifies the game, edition or digital item. Your offer describes what you can actually deliver, at what price and under which restrictions. A title match alone is insufficient: platform, edition, activation region and required base product can change what a buyer receives.

Before listing, create an internal SKU record containing the purchase invoice, source, product identifiers and region. Match this record to the marketplace catalog and have a second person check ambiguous titles. Keep evidence of legitimate sourcing accessible for support requests without exposing unused keys.

Daily operating controls

  • Check live stock against your internal key ledger before changing quantities.
  • Review price changes against net margin, not competitor price alone.
  • Separate delivery incidents from activation disputes when investigating a complaint.
  • Record the order ID, the delivered item reference and the action taken.
  • Review settlement entries independently of the sales dashboard.

A simple spreadsheet may work for a small pilot, but shared stock across marketplaces needs an authoritative reservation system. If one key is available on two channels, both must not treat it as independently sellable. Reserve stock before fulfillment and reconcile after any integration failure.

Account access and business continuity

Use individual staff access where the platform supports it, strong authentication and a controlled recovery process. A person who changes prices need not have access to payout settings. Review access when staff leave and retain a record of material operational changes.

For a transferred account, ask what changes G2A permits and what verification is required for the new operator. An old dashboard screenshot is not evidence of continuing access after ownership or business details change.

Questions before launch

Can your business meet the current seller eligibility rules? Do you understand the restrictions on your inventory? Who can respond to an activation problem while the main operator is unavailable? Resolve these questions before increasing stock.

Read G2A registration and requirements, then review seller fees and settlement. The G2A account listing describes the KeyMerchantHub offer; platform approval remains a separate matter.
